Knitting is now every Wednesday from 6-8 pm at the Adams Center Free Library! Give us a call at 315-583-5501 if you would like more information. You don’t have to knit to join. Crochet and other needle arts are welcome.

We have child and teen programs including: summer reading, Teen Sip & Paint, and Movie Mondays!

We are working on a Lego Club starting in October and we are also planning an event with a local business- Shedlight Organics! Be sure to check out our Facebook for more updates to come!

If there are any suggestions you may have for any other programs, please let us know! We are always looking to bring our community together!

Our new system, Polaris, is up and running! We appreciate your patience while we are learning how to use this new program!

Along with this, comes a change in our Overdrive App. Overdrive will be retiring, and Libby App will be taking over. Look for the icon below in your app store!

Vega is the name of our new cataloging system too. Many changes are taking place, but we are always available to help the best we can with any questions or concerns you may have!

We appreciate you!

On May 16th the South Jefferson school budget vote passed, and our library was on the ballot this year to raise monies due to increased costs over the last couple of years. Thank you to our community for coming out and supporting our library by passing the school budget this year and voting yes for the Adams Center Free Library funding.

We would also like to thank the Northern New York Community Foundation for supporting our goal in awarding us $4,500 towards new computers and technology. We are so grateful for their generous gift and look forward to using it to enhance the lives of our patrons! We are also offering one-on-one basic computer skills teaching. Call for an appointment. We are excited to offer this new service to those just starting out with technology.

If you need anything, always reach out to us on our Facebook page through messenger. We will get back to you as soon as we can! You may also email us at

Thanks so much!
