April is National School Library Month

April is School Library Month, a chance to honor school librarians and the essential role they play in the learning process. First celebrated in 1985, School Library Month is sponsored by the American Association of School Librarians (AASL), a division of the American Library Association. We would like to thank the Northern New York Community Foundation for supporting our goal in awarding us $4500 towards new computers and technology. We are so grateful for their generous gift and look forward to using it to enhance the lives of our patrons. We will be meeting on June 7th for our next board meeting at 6:30PM. Our knitting group is meeting on Wednesday nights from 6-7:30 as well. All levels of knitters are welcome and as usual, this event is free to the public. A seasoned professional knitter is on hand to help you through any project! We have many books about healthy and delicious cooking to fulfill your resolutions for the new year. These cookbooks and recipes include many ways to prepare gluten free, paleo lifestyle choices along with Whole Thirty ideas. We also have aromatherapy type books to sooth the winter soul. We are also offering one-on-one basic computer skills teaching. Call for an appointment with either Jaye or Karen. We are excited to offer this new service to those just starting out with technology.
